About Areni Wine Factory

Areni Wine Factory, founded in 1994 in Areni village (Vayots Dzor) — the same village that gave its name to Armenia's signature Areni Noir grape — is one of the country's most historic wineries. Open 10:00-19:00, Monday-Saturday (closed Sunday); hosts speak Armenian, Russian and English. The visit includes a wine-cellar tour past the oak aging barrels, then a tasting of traditional and fruit wines with fresh/dried fruit and nuts, plus a café, souvenir shop and tasting room on site.
